Grita is a traditional Ayurvedic dosage form, where ghee (clarified butter) is enriched with a special herbal substance. For classic Ayurveda gritas, only organically obtained ghee is used.
Triphala ghee can be used internally and externally.
Triphala consists of three myrobalan fruits (haritaki, amalaki and bibhitaki). A third of each fruit is used. It is a well-known Ayurvedic blend that possesses all different tastes except the "salty" sensation. This means that all three doshas are balanced.
Triphala has a cooling effect according to Ayurveda. This is important for soothing and calming heated overactivity.
Triphala is part of the Indian daily balancing diet.
