What is Maca?

• The legendary maca root is a nutritional source of the Inca. Before going into battle, the Inca warriors would consume maca. According to chronicles, half of the Inca's food sources consisted of maca.

• Avena sativa contains about 63% carbohydrates, 12% proteins, 12 to 14% fiber and only 5% fat.
