Description
The Polyporus vital mushroom belongs to the family of stem porling relatives. A tufted structure consisting of many individual fruiting bodies that grow out of an underidic sclerotium (aggregate fruiting body). The fungus loves warmer areas with calcium-rich soil. Beech, deciduous and mixed forests are therefore particularly suitable as search sites. The soft-fleshed fruiting body is gently harvested, dried and ground using the shellbroken process. The resulting precious powder can then be filled into vegetable capsule shells.
