Description
The herbaceous maca plant has turnip-shaped, sweet-tasting tubers that can reach a diameter of up to 14 centimetres. It prefers growing in the Peruvian Andes. For this reason, the plant is also known as Peruvian ginseng. Despite living with poor soil, extreme temperature differences, aggressive UV radiation, lack of oxygen and strong wind, the Maca plant defies all weather conditions. It is a true survivor!
Recommended use:
- Dissolve 1 teaspoon (3 - 5 g) in 200 ml of water and drink.
Tip:
- The powder can also be added to foods such as yoghurt, soups or smoothies.
