What is Safrolean?

Safrolean is a substance that contains a patented compound that is known as Satiereal®. This extract contains a specific ratio of agents known as Safronal and crocin. Recent studies suggest that these active ingredients are proven to have a positive effect on hunger, appetite and weight loss regimens. The uncontrolled consumption of snacks is significantly reduced and the end result is that losing weight can be achieved easier. After consuming this extract for no more than eight weeks, a nutritional study illustrated that such results are quite significant.

How Exactly Does Safrolean Work?

The active ingredients within saffron (crocin and Safronal) display an appetite-reducing effect. During normal activity, a neurotransmitter known as serotonin is released by cells within the brain. This causes levels of this chemical to increase within the bloodstream. The serotonin will thereafter "dock" with so-called receptors. Through this mechanism, one's appetite is reduced. Eventually, the serotonin will leave the bloodstream and be transported back to the nerve cell; cancelling this satiating effect. Here, Safrolean will come into play. The agents contained within this extract will block the serotonin from returning to the nerve cells. Hence, a feeling of satiety can last for much longer.

Recommended Use:
As a dietary supplement, one capsule should be taken twice daily thirty minutes before meals with at least two hundred millilitres of water. For best results, Safrolean should be taken for a period of no less than eight weeks.

Ingredients: Bulking: microcrystalline cellulose. Capsule shell: gelatin. Satiereal® saffron extract (Crocus sativus L.). Caking agents: Vegetable magnesium salts of fatty acids.

General Precautions: Use under medical supervision. Not suitable for children. Do not take a Safrolean during pregnancy or while nursing.
Do not Consume Safrolean if your Body Mass Index (BMI) below 18.5. If you are taking additional medication, please speak with your doctor before using Safrolean.

Side Effects: When using 176 mg of saffron extract no known side effects have been noted. At higher doses (5000 mg) saffron is classified as toxic and symptoms of toxicity may occur. Therefore, the recommended daily dosage should not be exceeded under any circumstances!
