Gastro flora

This high-quality combination includes the following, freeze-dried, probiotic bacteria:

• Lactobacillus acidophilus
• L. rhamnosus
• L. casei and
• Bifidobacterium longum

These bacteria belong to a certain extent of "basic equipment" of the human intestinal flora.
They promote the structural and functional integrity of the intestinal mucosa, stimulate the immune response, produce vitamins, enzymes and organic acids, and are involved in the regulation of pH regulation in the intestine.

L. acidophilus and L. casei produce organic acids such as DL-lactic acid and the enzymes amilase and lactase. L. acidophilus also produces bacteriocins (substances with antibiotic effect), acts as intestinal antioxidant and binds iron. It also seems to be able to lower the cholesterol levels.

L. casei is effective against constipation and supports the barrier function of the intestinal mucous, which to an increased permeability of the intestinal wall (leaky gut) can help reduce food allergies. L. casei stimulates the immune system.

Both L. acidophilus and L. casei are very resistant to bile and stomach acids, so that they can survive the passage through the stomach well.

L. rhamnosus supports the activity of white and red blood cells. Occasionally it settles in the colon, where it can create favourable conditions for the establishment of bifidobacteria.

L. rhamnosus has proven itself in allergic disorders and skin symptoms triggered by food allergies, as well as in diarrhea due to lactose intolerance.

B. longum ferments carbohydrates and produces organ-safe acids, such as acetic, formic and lactic acid. It synthesizes various B vitamins and enzymes and ensures the absorption of other vitamins. It is able to absorb iron, detoxifies the intestinal tract and helps to eliminate nitrates originating from food.
