The Ashwagandha Root
In Ayurveda Ashvagandha, also referred to as winter cherry is one of the most common food supplements. Their importance in Ayurveda is comparable to that of ginseng in traditional Chinese medicine. Ashvagandha means "the smell of the horse", because in the Indian tradition the strength and vitality of the plant is attributed to that of a horse. The Ashwagandha root reduces the vata and kapha.
