Altimeter

The built-in barometric altimeter provides:

• tracks your ascent and descent, always know how high you climbed from base to summit
• automatic calibration, altimeter accuracy is improved thanks to fēnix continuously monitoring and recalibrating the sensor
• know how far you have to climb until you reach your destination.

Barometer

The built-in barometer helps you:

• you monitor and predict weather changes
• shows short-term changes in the barometric air pressure.
• i.e., if the barometric pressure begins a steady decline, this is an indication for an impending storm.

Compass

fēnix includes a 3-axis electronic compass that:

• keeps your bearing in any position regardless of whether you're moving or not.
• Sight a bearing and be confident that fēnix will keep you headed toward your goal.
• The compass sensor can alternatively be set to automatic calibration ensuring you always hit your destination point.
