Doppelherz Heartburn acute + protect, 20 chewable tablets

Many factors, including fatty foods, coffee and stress, can irritate the stomach and cause an unpleasant burning sensation. When stomach acid rises into the oesophagus, we experience what's known as heartburn.

Heartburn acute + protect from Doppelherz combines various forms of sodium with calcium carbonate and has a pleasant mint flavour. The ingredients in the chewable tablets are released when chewed and are suitable for short-term use for acid-related stomach complaints.

Recommended use:
Adults and children over 12 years: take 2 or 4 tablets after meals and before going to bed.

Chew the tablets and follow up by drinking water.

Note:

• Do not take the product if you suffer from severe renal insufficiency or are hypersensitive to any of the ingredients.
• If you experience any side effects, discontinue use and consult your doctor.
• If you are taking other medications at the same time: this product may interfere with the absorption of oral medications. Talk to your doctor if you take medication regularly. Make sure you leave a gap of at least 2 hours between taking this product and other medications.
• If your symptoms do not improve after 7 days, please seek medical advice.
• The product may cause flatulence. Using it as recommended reduces the likelihood of flatulence.
• A single dose (2 chewable tablets of 1 g) contains about 100 mg (4.4 mmol) sodium and about 36 mg (0.9 mmol) calcium.
• If you are on a low-salt diet - for example, if you have high blood pressure, impaired heart, kidney or liver function or existing conditions such as hypercalcaemia, nephrocalcinosis or recurrent calcium-containing kidney stones - speak to your doctor before use.
