Sea Buckthorn Throat Spray by Doppelherz aktiv is a medical device intended for use in case of throat and pharyngeal irritation and to manage associated discomforts such as sore throat, difficulty swallowing, burning sensations, and dryness.

The adhesive polysaccharides in Sea Buckthorn Throat Spray by Doppelherz® form a gel layer that clings to the mucous membrane, creating a protective barrier over the irritated area. Additionally, the tannins in the formula cross-link with proteins in saliva and mucus to establish a secondary shield, preventing external irritants from attaching and helping to ease pain, burning, and swallowing difficulties.

Directions for Use:

• Adults and children over 12 years of age: Apply 3 sprays up to 3 times daily.
• Shake well before use.

Important Information:

• This product contains alcohol.
• Do not use in children under 12 years of age.
• Keep away from food and drink.
• Store in a dry place, away from direct heat and light sources, at a controlled temperature between 15 °C and 25 °C.
• Do not use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
• Do not use in cases of intolerance to the product.
• Do not use if there is a known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients (contains Iceland moss and larch arabinogalactans).
• Individuals with gastritis or gastrointestinal ulcers should consult a medical professional before use.
• Consult a doctor prior to use in cases of a hiatal hernia or narrowing of the oesophagus.
• Do not apply to severely damaged mucous membranes (e.g. lacerations, mouth ulcers, etc.).
• Do not use the product for more than 30 consecutive days. Seek medical advice if symptoms persist.
• Sore throats may indicate an underlying infection. If symptoms persist or fever develops, consult a doctor.
• Because this product contains liquorice, it should not be used by individuals with high blood pressure. Anyone taking liquorice-containing medications should avoid combining them with other liquorice products due to the risk of serious side effects.
• Consult a medical professional prior to use if taking oral contraceptives ("the pill").
• At the doses required to achieve a therapeutic effect, no clinically significant side effects caused by the product are known or expected. The only known contraindication is an individual allergy or hypersensitivity to the ingredients of Sea Buckthorn Throat Spray by Doppelherz®. If adverse reactions occur, discontinue use immediately and contact a doctor.
• Larch arabinogalactans may alter the pharmacokinetics of anti-inflammatory medications such as ibuprofen and its derivatives. Use of this product is not recommended when taking medications of this class. The formula contains mucilaginous polysaccharides, which may interfere with the absorption of concurrently administered medicines. Avoid using Sea Buckthorn Throat Spray by Doppelherz® alongside other medicines, particularly sublingual sprays or tablets. Generally, it is advisable to use the product two hours before or after taking any medications or dietary supplements. Inform a doctor if undergoing any medical treatments.
• Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the outer carton.
• Once opened, use the product within one month.
• Dispose of expired products in accordance with local waste regulations. Do not discard the product or its packaging into the environment.
