Description
This cereal is a great staple to have on hand for Ayurvedic dishes. The hearty, nutty aroma is complemented by a fine smoky taste, which is why green spelt is perfect for patties and as an accompaniment to spicy dishes. Green spelt is harvested when it is still unripe and green and dried over a wood fire. It is perfect for a purely plant-based and lactose-free diet.
Preparation:
Soak green spelt in twice the amount of water for about 10 hours. Bring to the boil and allow to swell for a good 20 minutes.
Note:
- May contain traces of nuts, sesame, soy, soy products and mustard.
- Store in a dry location and keep tightly closed.
