Bios effect eye complex capsules contain 50mg alpha-lipoic acid, 5mg lutein, 5mg lycopene, 100mg MegaNatural®-BP grape seed extract corresponding to 85mg OPC and 100mg taurine in a cellulose capsule.

• Alpha-lipoic acid, also called thioctic acid, is an endogenous substance similar to vitamins, which occurs mainly in tissues with a high density of mitochondria and intensive energy metabolism, so the heart and liver have high concentrations. The content of alpha-lipoic acid in plant-based foods (e.g. in potatoes) is only low. Lutein belongs to the group of carotenoids and is found mainly in the eye in the human body. It is also found in all green leafy vegetables and in various types of fruit.
• Lycopene is a red dye that gives many vegetables and fruits their typical appearance and colour. Tomatoes, rosehips, watermelons and pink grapefruits are particularly rich in lycopene. The main supplier of lycopene, however, is the tomato. Fat increases the bioavailability of lycopene for the human body. Oligomeric proanthocyanidins (OPC) occur naturally in the bark, peels, seeds and leaves of various plants (e.g. grapes, pine trees). Above all, the kernels and peel of the red grape (Vitis vinifera) have a high content of this secondary plant substance, which is well absorbed by the human body.
• Taurine is a non-essential amino acid. In the body, it occurs as a free molecule, especially in the brain tissue, central nervous system, heart and skeletal muscles.

Raw materials:

• Racemic Alpha Lipoic Acid is manufactured synthetically and is free from solvents.
• The lutein contained is FloraGLO Lutein® (FloraGLO is a registered trademark of Kemin Industries, Inc.), a high-quality vegetable raw material, standardised to free lutein and zeaxanthin.
• The carotenoids are obtained from the marigold (Tagetes erecta).
• The added lycopene powder is natural tomato lycopene.
• The oligomeric proanthocyanidins are used in the form of MegaNatural®-BP grape seed extract. The parent plant is Vitis vinifera. The extract is standardised for phenols and OPC. MegaNatural®-BP is a registered trademark of Polyphenolics.
• Taurine is not of animal origin and is made by chemical synthesis.
• The VEGI capsules used are made of cellulose.

Consumption recommendation:
