Description
The black psyllium seeds are ripe seeds of the plant cultivated in Austria and several other areas. Psyllium seeds have a high content of fibre that is mostly excreted undigested. They can be easily added to both sweet and savoury dishes are they are neutral in taste and aroma.
The Sonnentor organic psyllium seeds are an easy way to add lots of fibre to yoghurts, cereal and smoothies. You can also sprinkle it on homemade baked goods.
Tips & preparation:
Before using, soak the psyllium seeds in plenty of liquid for at least 30 minutes. Note that whole psyllium seeds do not absorb as much liquid as psyllium husks. Nevertheless, make sure you drink plenty of liquid while eating psyllium!
