Description
Chia seeds can be incorporated into the diet in a variety of ways. For example, processed into a delicious pudding, as a topping over various spreads, integrated for breakfast or for baking cakes etc. When it comes to chia seeds, one speaks of oilseeds with a long tradition of use. Because their taste is neutral and they naturally contain mucilage, omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, they are very popular. Because of the mucilage, the seeds swell when they come into contact with water. Therefore, they are extremely popular as a companion to diets.
Consumption recommendation:
The daily intake should not exceed 15g (approx. 3 teaspoons). When baking, their content should not exceed 10% by weight.
