The husks naturally fall off the barleay grains when harvested and threshed. Therefore no hulling or peeling process is required, leaving the whole grain full of nutrients and a mild, aromatic taste.
- Since there is no "peeling" process, all nutrients are retained in the whole grain.
- It is an ideal addition to soups and stews and lends a nutty note to salads and patties.
- It is also suitable as a side dish or for the preparation of desserts.
