Description
Schisandra originates from Asia and belongs to the family of star anise plant. In their Chinese homeland it also bears the name of Chinese lime tree or "Wu Wei Zi", which means "the herb of the 5 flavours". The berries have a taste that is both sweet, salty, bitter, sour and spicy. This corresponds to the 5 elements of wood, fire, earth, metal and water.
Recommended use:
- Approximately 2 teaspoons (7g) of Schisandra Berries daily.
