WHEY-ISOLATE is a highly purified and highöy available whey protein isolate, which is obtained by an ion exchange process and due to the high content of essential amino acids it has a high biological value. According to studies, the consumption of whey protein compared to the sole consumption of casein or soy leads to the greatest muscle growth. The cause is due to the different rates of digestion. Whey protein is digested faster compared to soy, but especially compared to casein and consequently also faster available to the muscles. Another advantage is the high content of the signal-effective amino acid L-Leucine, this exerts a stimulatory effect on the formation of muscle protein. Whey protein is consumed immediately after exercise and can be used efficiently on high gear ongoing metabolic processes of the body and accelerate effects. These include a rapid recovery capability, an improved uptake of amino acids into the muscles, faster muscle repair of worn muscle cells as also an effective formation of new muscle protein.
ION-EXCHANGE PURIFIED WHEY PROTEIN:
This elaborate production method is crucial to the high content of essential amino acids, which present themselves unharmed by the ion exchange process and are well available. The purest form of whey protein is whey protein isolate, whose ordinary protein content is up to 95%. Whey protein isolates are more available to the body than hydrolysates, in which still smaller protein segments are present as opposed to individually present ingredients. Using an io-exchange process (as opposed to filtering electronic mechanical filtration), the major components of whey protein are filtered isolated. These include β-LACTOGLOBULIN, the main constituent of whey protein with about 55%, α-LACTALBUMIN (ca. 25%), IMMUNGLOBULIN (15%) and BOVINE SERUMALBUMIN (ca. 5%). β-LACTOGLOBULIN is characterized by a particularly high proportion of branched-chain amino acids (BCAA), while α-Lactalbumin is particularly rich in tryptophan.
