Description
ButyrAid delivers butyric acid in the form of calcium and magnesium salts, the so called butyrate. A special enteric coating ensures that the tablets survive the stomach passage and the butyrate only are released in the small intestine, to contribute there to the integrity of the intestinal mucosa.
Butyric acid or butane acid belongs to the short-chain fatty acids and is produced by the bacterial degradation of fibre in the large intestine. It represents a major source of energy for the Colonocyten and has an anti-inflammatory effect, stimulating the alimentary canal. In addition, it stimulates the growth of probiotic bifidobacteria, which in turn, enhances the immune response in the intestine in addition to vitamins and enzymes. They produce organic acids, which are important for a normal pH and support the structure and functional integrity of the intestinal mucosa.
ButyrAid is recommended for an increased permeability of the intestinal wall and dysbiosis, especially if these are due to a deficiency of bifidobacteria. ButyrEn has proved useful in autism and a low pH in the intestine.
Recommended use: 1 or 2 tablets three times a day for meals, up to 12 tablets / day.
The recommended daily dosage should not be exceeded.
